On November 27th 2014 the TarTar team has been awarded the Special Mention (2nd prize) at the Jacques Rougerie Competition, Architecture and Sea Level Rise Award, for the project: “Living grounds. Generating Intelligent Environments”. The project was selected among other 1749 teams.

The team coordinated by Razvan George Gorcea has recently won the runner-up prize in the competition for the Romanian Pavilion at the 2014 edition of the Venice Architecture Biennale for the Just Now project. The curator for the 2014 Biennale is Rem Koolhaas who has chosen a special theme for the National Pavilions: Absorbing Modernity: 1914-2014. The members of the team are: Razvan George Gorcea, Constantin Gorcea, Sorin Bompa, Alexandra Arama, Cosmin Tolbes, Alexandru Senciuc.
I would also like to specially thank Vlad Mitoceanu for his critical technical support within the design process of the online platform.
For the Europan 12 competition we have participated on the Paris Saclay site with the River Rythms project. The general theme of the competition has been “the adaptable city”. Team members: Razvan George Gorcea (leader), Alexandru Senciuc (associate), Cristina Sucala (associate), Taeyun Kim (collaborator), Andreea Druga (collaborator).
I have been listed on the official page of the post-master DPEA Recherches en architecture of ENSA Paris La Villette research department. This is the first promotion of students to go through this programme.
